My first experience with Michelle was also my first experience with an aircraft sale and purchase. I am an in-house attorney whose principal at the time desired to purchase his aircraft off its lease. During the negotiations and transaction, not only was the aircraft scheduled to be overseas throughout the process and not return until post-closing, it had rental engines on board as the original engines were in Dallas going through their 10-year overhaul. As in most closings, the aircraft needed to be in a tax-free jurisdiction at the time of closing. This not only required the aircraft to be in a specific location of the Geneva airport but also that the engines be shipped from Dallas to Kansas for the closing. Just to add an additional wrinkle the closing was scheduled for Monday 7 July so everyone needed to make these things happen of the 4th of July weekend.
